looking to do a b16a swap in my 91 hatch. advice?
What makes you want to buy and repair a d16z6? IMO, not worth it. Only has 127Hp, vtec hits at 5500rpm with a 6900RPM redline.
Also, there are the unknowns about the motor. The head itself may be reworked with less than 20 miles on it, but question is how is the rest of the motor? You know of the spun crank bearing, but there could be other problems. The problems can easily become quite costly.

OK I picked through the local salvage yards today. I found a 94 intergra with a b18b1, 5 speed tranny, wiring harness, ecu, rear disk brakes, and what ever I need for $700. Now the only question is what else do I need off the car for the swap? I have no idea how to do this swap. I know I need a mounting kit but do I need the fuel lines, or clutch petels for the hydraulic clutch? I'm lost and I'm going Saturday to get the stuff so I need to know what to get. What do you guys think? Good price? is it worth the swap? Help plz.
you need a manual cable tranny, the hydro trans wont work unless you spend 300$ just for the conversion plate, so sell it or trade it for a b series cable trans,
you will need to use your old engine harness and convert your car from dpfi to mfi,
and you will need to sell or not buy that ecu, you will need a obd0 to obd1 conversion harness and a obd1 ecu or buy a obd0 pr-4 ecu from an older integra
you will need the teg front suspension to hold the extra weight.

Cool, I can get just the engine for only $300. So I can leave the transmission ecu and save some money. If I do that will I need the wiring harness to cut to make mine work? Man I'm worrying the hell out of you guys. Thanks for the help.
my best suggestion is to save your money and look for a 90-93 integra and get the motor from it, this will save you alot of work and time and money, they come with a cable trans and everything.
I'm going to get the 94 engine anyways because its a good price. Im going to get this. http://www.vexmotorsports.com/Innova...n-_p_1716.html. Look ok to you guys?
