LOST VTEC POWER???
prob isn't it but do you use synthetic oil.i have been told more than once that sometimes vtec wont engauge if you use synthetic oil. also to comment on something above my car throws a code all the time and my check engine light is always on and vtec works just fine. the code is just for the o2 so i just leave it be causse i dont care. maybe that not what you meant.
You need to take your car to an Autozone or a place that will pull the code for you for free. They have to hook up a computer to a port on your car...normally found under the dash. Otherwise you can take it to a garage, but they charge a good chunk of change to hook up a computer.
you dont need to bring it to an AutoZone. I have a '99 and read my code like this:

i meant when its been goin 70 mph or over for a few min thats wen all power dies......
So if it throws the code at this speed how do i keep the code because when i turn the engine off wont the code be lost?

Here's the first tester I came across. I would do some calling around to the local parts suppliers first though to see if one will check it for free.

Note: The code stays until you reset it.
