Default Low Idle and IACV

My 96 Civic (D16Y7) has a very low idle at times so I did a search here and found that cleaning the IACV sould proably solve the problem.

According tomultiple references, the IACV is located at the rear of the throttle body on the D16Y7 motor but I don't see it there on mine.

I have what looks like the IACV located at the front of the throttle body. It has 2 heater hoses attached to it, an electrical connecter and is mounted to the throttle body by what looks like four 10mm nuts. Can this be the IACV?

You are correct. The IACV on the D16Y7 is located forward of the throttle body and behind and below the fuel rail. Based on your description, you have correctly located the sensor.

Thanks for your quick reply Ron.

It looks likethe IACVcan be removed withouttaking offthe fuel rail by removing the heater hoses and electrical connection first. Is this true?

It looks like the IACV can be removed without taking off the fuel rail by removing the heater hoses and electrical connection first. Is this true?
Again you are correct. There is very little space to work in, but with the right tools you can remove and install the IACV without taking out the fuel rail. Take your time and be patient.
