Default main relay blown, i think

ok i have a 94 dx that i touch a hot pos batt wire to a grounded cigeret lighter wire, tryin to wire in some lights, it blew my lighter fuse of course so now my car will not start, no spark and no fuel, i hold my main relay and turn the key and it no longer makes the one click sound when it puts power through it, is this my prob?

fyi, i had a starting issue before and it turned out to be my dizzy was dead, replaced that and it fired instantly, when my dizzy was dead i held the realay again and listend for the click and it clicked like it should so i ruled that out and replaced the dizzy, but at that time i was just getting no spark and i was getting fuel

any help, im going to go to the junk yard and find a main realy for the five finger discount just to see if that is anyway, but any help guys you guys are awsome!!!

See if the oil, battery and check engine(*) lights on the dash come on when you turn the key on, if they don't-- the whole ignition / ECU system is not getting power.

Check the fuses under the hood, especially the big main ones.

If you're saying that you ran a wire direct from battery (+) to the ground wire under the dash, there is no fuse in that situation. You may have burned out the actual wires in the ground system or even damaged the ECU.

(*)Check engine light should come on for 2 seconds then go out, the main relay will click on and off at the same times.

Definitely sounds like the whole ECU system has a problem. Let's hope you didn't fry the ECU. Check the ECU fuse under the hood (along with all the others too).

didnt fry any wires under dash, it was just a little touch like nothing happend, checked all wires, all are good, just blew stereo fuse, will check fuses under hood all the oil and ecu lights come on like they should, the car just wont start but it turns over like it should and the main relay wont click. will check other stuff and get back to you later tonight

ok, all fuses are good, all wires are good, turn key to on position the oil light and the cel comes on like should but the cel light stays constant, it does not turn off after two seconds like it should and the relay does not click again like it should

Ouch, code 0. I had code 0 before, had to replace my ECU. I think your ECU is fried my friend.

damn, so will it still show code 0 even if it is completly fried? so does the ecu control the main relay? is that why the relay wont click?

ECU controls pretty much everything engine related. The ECU being bad would definitely explain having both no fuel or spark.
