Default Maint Req'd Light 2002 Civic EX

My 2002 Honda Civic EX with 116,500 miles just had the Maint Req'd light come on. How can I find out what it's wanting? I'm a do it yourself guy, so I'll be looking to fix whatever is broken on my own.

Thanks

By Maint Req'd light, do you mean the yellow light with an icon of an engine? Or do you mean the light that turns from green to yellow to red?

If your answer is the first one, it's called a CEL (Check Engine Light). You can go to any autoparts store in the US and they'll pull the codes for you.

I'm not sure if it's the same for 7th gen, but 6th gen that means time for an oil change.

Is it the same as 6th gen? Do you just stick the key in that little slot?

Turn ignition off, press and hold the mileage reset button on the instrument panel, turn ignition on and keep holding the reset button for about 10 seconds.
