the maintenance required thing turned red, i know you can reset it but why does it come on, mine came on right after my exhaust broke right before the muffler, coincidence? i didn't think it had anything to do with that light, i was thinking that it didn't have anything to do with sensors and the ecu, im i wrong? it did come on about 3 thousand miles ago and the first thing i thought was to change the oil, which i just did

Correct, the light is just a friendly reminder to change your engine oil every 7.5k miles.
