LSD required?
Okay. so i finally learned what LSD stands for. honestly i know a lot of online motor shops offer LSDs on their engines but the price difference can get to be a large margin. Is LSD recommended for Civic drivers?
I'll give you the short version...
It really depends on the engine. On a GSR or Type R motor (the latter of which is equipped with one stock) they are a necessity, as you're generally putting somewhere in the neighborhood of 175-190 hp to the ground via the front wheels (can you say "traction problems?"). Without one, it's almost impossible to get the car off the line without riding the clutch like crazy (which is a BAD thing). The SiR II B16A's also had them (as an option I believe), but they aren't as torquey, so they aren't as critical. In general, you're gonna want one if you plan to build/boost your engine quite a bit.
