sound like wires or distributor, it could also be your ignition output module. replace the distributor. check to see if the distributor gets excessivley hot while the key is in the "on" position. if it does, then replace the dizzy.
good luck

Not gonna be wires b/c there is a pretty low chance that all four wires will go bad at once. Are you sure the last code is P1399? B/C i can't find the code in the service manual or online. I would think that the ignition coil could be a prob since it creates a spark. THe dist transfers the spark to the plugs.

the last code was the P1399 and "Manufacturer Contrl Ignition System or misfire" was what my Actron OBDII sheet said.

thanks for the replies. I'm going to check the distr, but I've never danced with the ignition output, is it a pain ? or easy money to get too.

Thanks again

I replaced the cap and rotor and fired it up. It does not seem as rough, but the engine is still vibrating. I checked the codes and now there is only one (without driving it)

P1399 Manufacturer Contrl Ignition System or misfire

The old cap and rotor did need to be replaced.

I saw you guys suggested the ignition coil or ignition output module. Same things ? or diff......hard to check ? let me know

thanks again.

#4 plug wire was cracked by the plug , causing havoc. Replaced all four and it's all fine .

Thanks for responses.
