Question motor swap?

I recently discovered my heads are shot so I'd rather do an engine swap instead of fixing the heads due to high mileage 190k. What engines would be best for a 97 auto ex vtec d16 cp? I want something that will install pretty easily with not much customization needed.

Hopefully your engine only has one head. That would be strange if it had two.

You probably want to drop in another D16y8 or look into a B16 or B18. B16s came in the Civic Si and were typically 5 speed. B18s came in Integras and were often auto, if that's important to you. Both drop in easily but if you go to a B series engine, you have to change axles and engine mounts, plus the whole wiring harness, computer, etc.
