so yeah my g/f has a 96 ex and recently when she turns it on her car the RPMs jump around and the car shakes. also when she puts it in Drive, the car jolts really hard. anyone know what this could be?

 

lol the old honda rough idle.... probably yer idle air control valve.....not sure where it is exactly on that car but i'd say its on yer intake mainfold to the right hand side.....replace that and ya should be good to go.

 

can i just take that out and clean it... i did that on my friend's escort one time.

 

yea, sometimes a cleaning is all it takes.
