Default need a good place for auto parts.

Im from Woburn, Mass , 01801. I just got my oil changed and the guy that was changing my oil showed me that the bolt joint is tearing up. he said i need inner , outer bolt joints, 4 new tires sens the joints r messed up the tires wear out quick, + aligment and tire bolts i guess, + labor he said it would take him 2.5 hours (160$) he wants to charge me 722$ which is crazy i told him ill think about it but i aint going there to fix it . i'm posting this for some help if any1 knows a store where i can buy these parts i know sears got good sales on tires im not that worries about the tires as much as the bolt joints.

I wanted to confirm what you meant that the "inner and outer bolt joints." I can think of 2 things. 1. It is the half axle that has 2 large rubber boots at either end. Or 2. you are talking about the ball joints.

Either case, you will need to get a hold of a good service manual (go to my signature at the bottom of my post and download the appropriate year service manual). Then go to an autoparts store that rents tools and get a hold of some stuff.

All of these are repairable by you and you do not need to pay someone to do this. But it will require patience and some work to get it done.

Please respond back to my question as I am still unsure what exactly you mean. We'll be glad to show you how to get this done as there are several DIYs out there.

it also would help if you tell us what year civic and model.

dont play around with the tie rods, they tend to snap and your wheel will go sideways while your driving.. it happened in my moms van and it threw us into burgerkings garden.. good thing we werent going fast.. if it happened on a highway.. that **** could be tragic... i would def look into getting them replaced
