Default Need Help!

I'm putting together a honda civic Hatchback 98 which has a D15B2 block and a D16Y8 Vtec head, which is the best and easiest ECU to hook up? I already have a P28 and the jumper harness, I also passed the vtec solenoid cable thru the fire wall and connected to A4 pinout, what else I have to look up to? Car Idle perfect but if I a give it gas it dies, took spark plugs out and they look like if the car is running rich, also I cleaned the IAC, but not improve at all, thanks for your help.

Jump the service connector and then check the ignition timing with a timing gun. Is the CEL ON?

Yes the CEL light is on, I'll try to find the service connector, really the harness is a mess, there is a lot of connectors without a partner to go to, so If I can make it run, first thing I'll do is organize the wiring harness, it does not look good at all.

Thanks for your help

The service connector is generally located just above the ECU (see CEL link in my signature). This connector is used both to pull CEL codes and to set/check the ignition timing. Good luck with fixing the wiring mess.
