Well, you have me stumped. Other possibilities for cold start problems include a bad (1) MAP sensor (as you mentioned), (2) sensors in the distributor, and (3) coolant temperature sensor. I haven't considered these sensors as they generally throw a CEL code if they are bad.

Try inserting a jumper wire in the service connector to see if the ECU is throwing any codes (see CEL link in my signature).

Among these sensors, troubleshoot the coolant temperature sensor first. It's located below and forward of the distributor and has a two wire (2P) connector.

I swapped out the map sensor from my accord. They have the ssame part number. I measured the temp sensor cold and it read 3v and as it gets warmer it went down to .9v..... I am severly stumped.

Those readings don't seem correct for the TW sensor (see 92-95 manual, pages 11-64 to 11-65 at link in my signature). You need to make both resistance (Ohms) and voltage readings with a multimeter.

It says check it hot, i have problems with a cold start. Will this test be sufficient?

Good point. It might be most informative to perform the test on both a cold and hot engine. I expect the voltage readings to remain the same but the resistance reading to differ as predicted in the chart.

On that page was something different.I found a page for the twsensorit said to check harness c151I cant make out its location. You said you dont think the voltage will change hot vs cold?

I believe that the ECU always provides 5V of reference voltage to the TW sensor regardless of engine temperature. Therefore, voltage at the disconnected TW sensor connector should always be 5V. If it isn't, then there is a wire or ECU problem. On the other hand, electrical resistance at the disconnected TW sensor should rapidly decrease with increasing engine temperature.

Please tell me the manual page number for the connector discrepancy. Are you having difficulty locating the TW sensor?

Not sure I understand your dilemma. Read the troubleshooting pages for the TW sensor carefully. All electrical measurements are done with a disconnected TW sensor and connector.

I'll look at pg 149. What chapter?
