Need Help ASAP
6-42. If I unplug the harness to the tw sensoe at the sensor you wont see a resistance drop because its the heat of the coolandt that the sensor reads that transmits the signal to reduce voltage. I can read it if I can locate this c151 harness. could i jump the wires out at the tw sensor or would that mess up the ecu since you would have 0 resistance? it would be like simulating a warm engine
If you disconnect the TW sensor, it still responds to engine temperature but it lacks the ECU reference voltage. When you touch the probes of the multimeter to terminals of the disconnected TW sensor, the multimeter will supply the reference voltage to make the resistance measurements. I hope this helps. If not, we can continue to discuss until you do.

We must be looking at different Civic manuals. My information is coming from the downloadable 92-95 Civic manual located at the link in my signature below.

so you are saying probe the terminals on the sensor not the harness that attaches to it. get resistance and voltage from there. I cant get my probes in there if thats the case

literally on the same page. Just removed the tw sensor. harness is reading 5v the sensoe is not registering resistance. Even held over heat and still no resistance. I think we found the problem. Whew! And of course no where is open!!
