I can't get the fool thing off. The engine is on a stand and upside down. I've got the 4 bolts off but it wont come off. I've removed the oil strainer and the gear as well. Have tried prying with a screwdriver and a hammer. It wont budge. Any ideas? Am I missing a bolt or two?

Take all the timing parts off-- it comes off the front somehow. I think that there were more than 4 bolts but they were real obviously seen in the lower timing belt area.

I've removed everything but the tensioner. I'm at a loss.

got any pics? i think it comes off the front of the crank shaft, but then again i never had mine off. but if its powered by the crank then it probably slides over it to fully lock on it.
probably just got alotta sealer on it and just tight. if youve ever pulled off a stock oilpan and its stuck really hard ya know what i mean
