Default New car problems!

I started a new thread a few days ago asking what to look out for when buying a Honda Civic. Well I ended up buying the car and it has a few issues.

1. The day I put the deposit down the weather was nice and dry but when I collected the car yesterday, it was raining badly and water came into the cabin through from behind the glovebox. This morning I removed the glovebox but I could not trace the source of the leak and there was black plastic parts in the way so couldn't see the bulkhead. Anyone have any idea where the leak could be coming from?

2. ABS Light is always on. When I went to view the car it wasn't there (as far as I remember, because it didn't notice it when I checked the dash lights) but there was a problem with the rear pads which the seller replaced and the light has been on since then. Is this a serious issue?

3. The rear left passenger door doesn't open and the seller assured me it was the Child Lock that was jammed. He agreed to get it fixed (along with the brakepads) and assured me it was fixed but it didn't open when I went to collect it. The right rear passenger side is opens but its a little stiff. Any ideas?

Somebody please help me!

Thanks

you have to give the year and model of your civic to give us a better grasp on how to help you.

Water from the glovebox area could be condensate from the air conditioner (if equipped), this will of course come out every time you drive with the A/C on.

The seller didn't do the brakes properly, he probably broke one of the wheel sensors causing the ABS light to come on. Typically when that happens, the ABS shuts itself down so if you were to slam on the brakes now they would lock up like conventional brakes.

I don't think it's condensation from the A/C because the water came through when it was raining and the A/C wasn't on. You could be right about the brakes though. How much does a wheel sensor cost roughly?

For the water leak, check to see if there are any weatherstripping/seals in the firewall that are broken. Remove the carpet and get a better look. For the ABS light, take the rear wheels off and look at the speed sensor and the wheel. The problem could be that the connector for the wheel sensor is disconnected.

The water is coming from the glovebox/passenger side compartment so I think it could be coming from the firewall however the battery is in the way and if I remove it I'm worried I will trigger the SRS light which is what happened in my old Honda Civic.
