Default New Intake on my 89 Civic

So I bought an 89 Honda civic and it has an intake manifold off of a 5th or 6th generation civic and it seems to be causing all kinds of problems, specifically the cable running from the throttle body to the transmission not fitting, does anyone know anything about this conversion or have any suggestions? looking to fix it not change the manifold. One of the main problems is it will sputter and die when I give it too much gas. thanks

Cable to the transmission will not cause that.

You should start by identifing all the parts you have, especially the ECU.
