Default Newb...

I'm new to the forum so I apologize if I sound like a newb. My fiance just bought an 04 civic ex coupe and we've noticed that the driver's door doesn't close as tight as the passenger side. It still gets a seal and you can hardly notice but when on the highway there's a lot of wind noise coming from that side of the car. I can push on the door from the outside and it moves with ease. I looked over the hinges...everything looks straight. The seal is in great condition too. I'm wondering if there's an adjustment or if possibly a part of the locking mechanism is worn out and that's why I'm not getting a flush seal. Thanks.

Anyone encounered this problem? I know on a previous vehicle I was able to adjust the loop that the door latches to when closed...is this possible with this car? Any help is appreciated.

I think it is possible. Loosen the screws that hold the striker loop on to the door jamb and move it back toward the inside of the car. Tighten the screws and try the door again.
