My 99 Civic LX (stock) blew a head gasket. We sent the head away, pressured tested and resurfaced. Thought we steal some extra HP's so we cut the exhaust ports to match the gasket and gutted the cataylic converter. We put everything back together and now the engine won't idle! It runs at 3000 rpm from the start! We checked and even disconnected the throttle cable, no effect. Tried lowering the factory adjusted idle screw, no effect. Does anyone have any suggestions??
