Default No Brake Lights

Hi everyone. So today I put a new tailgate on my hatchback, and when I did my brake lights and back-up lights stopped working. I still have turn signals and the taillights light up when I turn on my headlights. Everything worked fine before I put this new hatch on, for the second time! The first time I put it on all of the lights worked fine...So, I have no clue.
Please help!
Eric

Might be some frayed wires that shorted out and blew the fuse(s). On some models, the fuse for the brake lights is under the hood.

I found out that it was my horn shorting out that kept blowing fuses. That was a bitch...
