Default not running very good

so i decided that i was going to get rid of my cel by getting an O2 simulator... but this is the deal.

when i installed it i accidentally switched the signal wire with the ground wire...i ran it without knowing, until the second time i started the car. when i started it when i would give gas the engine would dog out... so i switched the wires and tried it again this time with the correct wiring, but it happened again whe the engine would dog out after the second start... but this time i let it run thinking the engine just needs to get use to the new set up, slowly the ******* went away, and when i started it for the third time it just dogged out a little... but here is the problem, my cel light came back on

so is my engine just getting use to the O2 simulator

or did i fry my ecu?

Edit: It's possible the sensor was damaged by having the wires reversed.

What specific CEL code(s) do you retrieve from the ECU?

Go here to learn how to retrieve the CEL code (if you don't know how):

Please verify your trouble codes. Codes P0131 - P0141 indicate problems with the primary or secondary O2 sensor, so I assume you have retrieved one of them. If so, your "O2 simulator" is likely bad.

138 = Secondary HO2S Circuit High Voltage (Sensor 2)
136 is just a malfunction code

yeah it's running good right now, but that is because its running in safe mode..... which the whole point was to get the car out of safe mode....

I guess you just have to love technology

For our own education, please let us know where your are finding definitions for codes 136 and 138.
