o1' civic a/c problem
I have a 2001 civic ex with about 160k miles. Replaced a/c compressor 2 years ago. New problem;
It blows ice cold air but every so often it blows ambient temp. air than reverts back to cold. The compressor sounds a bit noisy when running. The green a/c light remains lit regardless of air temp. It does seem like it reverts to warmer air when i am driving slower or this could just be coincidence. I really dont have the money for a new compressor, AGAIN!! Its getting hot here in Orlando.
Could it be low freon or if it were wouldnt it blow warm all the time?
Any help is appreciated

Probably the clutch gap. When it is blowing warm, pull over (leave engine running and A/C button pressed) and look under the hood to see if the condenser fans are running, and if the compressor is engaged (plate next to the pulley with the springs on it spinning).
You are correct, if it were low on refrigerant it would never get cold at all.
