Default O2 sensor simulator..

Has anyone on here actually tried these? I have a B swap and custom exhaust, and the secondary 02 was never on the car when I bought it. I added a magnaflow universal Cat Converter to the exhaust. Im wondering if i really need to get the cat drilled for a sensor, or if I can just get one of these simulators and wire it in.

Heres one of the ebay ones.

Another question...does OBD1 require 2 o2 sensors? My car is converted to OBD1 from OBD2b with a jumper harness.

i used that exact thing for well over a year, worked fine. If you cut all 4 wires you'll need the Heater Wire Simulator as well, but its like $10 extra bucks or something. But yes, they do work to cure the seconadry o2 sensor CEL, but in the end it's always better to just run a cat properly. Tricking the ECU is (usually) not good.

So you still need to have 2 o2 sensors if your converted to OBD1? Its an OBD1 ecu. Just wondering, Im still using a cat, I just want to clarify that I do or dont need a secondary since im now OBD1 with an OBD1 ecu.
