My 2010 Civic SI has 7,000 miles. I've had it for about five months. During the last 4,000 miles it burned a quart of oil. I'm using Mobile 1 5W-30 synthetic oil. The car is otherwise running fine and gives me no trouble. Is this normal for this engine during break-in?

 

I have a friend that had a 07 Si and he used a quart of oil between oil changes. I have noticed if u are in Vtec often that u will use some oil between oil changes. I would say it is normal.
