Default oil pressure switch

i have a 95 civic ex with zc 1.6 vtec. my question is can the oil pressure switch cause the oil light to flicker there is no answer in any of my manuals and it throws a code 22 when i am really hammering on the car like drag racing and i know it controls the vtec so i test to see if i can hear the vtec i think i am hearing over the exhaust but not sure ,so any help would be great. it only flickers once in awhile and when i start the car after sitting for like an hour the oil light stays on for like 30 secs or less then just goes off. and when i am on the interstate doing 65 -70 and and throw it in neutral and drift down a hill it will come on and then give it gas and goes right off , it like i am dropping oil pressure and i can figure why so please help and please tell me proper oil pressure please and be technical as possible i am a tech so will understand. any help be thankful
