Default Is it OK to jump start another car with a '99 Civic?

My car (2000 Mitsubishi Galant) needs a jump and my friend with a '99 Civic says she thought she read that she shouldn't jump other cars with it. Is that true of Civics?

Thanks!

Blatantly false! A civic can jump a Hummer, quite easily.
