Old foam insulation blowing from vents

the foam is from under the passenger dash where the blower is that foam is on a flap that moves to close the vents when u switch from indoor air to outdoor air.

Surprisingly, when I cleaned the leaves out of the blower motor unit, I saw that the foam on the flap was still intact.

theres more than 1 flap 1 for indoor/outdoor air 1 for def/floor/vents/etc.

Yeah, I can only speak about the one flap I was able to see; however, the foam pieces that have blown out from the vents are strips, which I think fits better with the gasket idea.

strips yeah that does sound more like the gaskets that go around the vents. have u took your housing around the cluster off lately?

Based on input from forum members, I am currently questioning whether the return will be worth the work invested in this project.
