Only getting 3500 rpm
After I rebuild the top end of this 1.5, it only ran well over 4k rpm and Mk378 correctly surmised that the cam was off a tooth. I got that rectified but since then it has cut out at 3500. I checked today and the cam sprocket points up at TDC for #1. But when attempting to replace the cap I noticed that the spring which extends from the body of the dizzy to the cap was bent. I unbent it and got it back where it was supposed to go (or it wouldn't have fired up) then set about setting the timing again.
The strobe flashed on the red mark but it only seemed like the white mark was only 2-3 degrees behind it. Red is hard to see!
Any suggestions as to the problem? Other than the nut loose behind the wheel.
