Default over heating problem

i need some suggestions about a week ago my car leaked out coolant while i was driving and cracked the radiator cuz it got to hot im guessing well ii found where it was leaking and i changed the radiator and it worked but it was having a realy hard time starting so i TRIED to pull the plugs but the wires actually melted to the inside of the head... so i can only but imagine what else has actually happened or do u think i can jus take the head off and get the plugs and wires out and it will be okay? i mean if it got that hot then im sure the rings on the piston are probably shot? i need some suggestions on what to do
