i just bought a 97 Honda Civic Ex with 119k miles on it in august 2010 and this just started happening the check engine light turned on and my car start to mess up, it wont accelerate in D4 or D3 after it had been warmed up (about 10 min or so) but it will run in 2nd ok. Specifically the problem is that when i push the gas in D4 or D3 the rpms rev but the car wont move until it shifts into second then it starts moving like normal but it takes way to long to shift from 1st to 2nd and ive been looking all over and found alot of different solutions like changing the linear siliniod/transmission/ECU and im wondering what should i change to fix the problem faster... and as of yesterday i hear a scratching noise when driving the car in 2nd now so im thinking its a transmission problem but it works fine when cold.... so it might be computer.... so idk im confused anything will help.
