Default Painting Valve cover, wrong paint?

I plan on painting my valve cover tomorrow (monday), so I got 800 grit sandpaper, semi gloss black engine enamel paint, and what I thought was clear coat engine enamel paint at Advanced auto parts, but I think that I got the wrong clearcoat.....

I'm going to be using Importtuner67's DIY to paint my valve cover. I don't have engine cleaner but I do have brake cleaner this will work fine right for cleaning the valve cover?

It should be fine as long as you use two coats of engine primer and two to three coats of the engine paint then the regular clear coat. Good Luck
