hey, i have a 2002 civic lx coupe. it has 120,000KM on it and lately i have been hearing a knocking noise in the steering. i checked it out and its caused by play in the rack. i am wondering if anyone else has had this problem? is there any adjustment for the rack bushing for these cars? it does not seem right for a honda to have this problem after so few KM's.

 

Have you checked your tie rod ends lately? Is it power steering assisted? or a manual rack?
