Exclamation Please Help with CHARGING Problems!!!

I have bought a brand new battery and before that i bought a new altenator becuase my battery light came on and my car died. So, after doing all that and not finding what the problem is I'm totally lost. My speedometer and tripometer don't work also. My battery light is on and so is my engine light. It seems like my battery just isnt getting charged from my altenator. Is there any things i can check to see what the problem is????? Please Help

Since you didn't say, let me guess it's a 1996, '97 or maybe '98 model.

If you have one of those, search for the "fuse 15" problem.

could it be a ground problem. double check that all the grounds are working properly. you might have a parasitic drain on your battery

Power must reach the "I" pin of the alternator (one of the small wires) with the key on. Also you should have battery voltage on the large output wire at the alternator all the time.

The combination of losing power to the alternator, speed sensor, and oxygen sensors sounds like a problem with the engine harness.
