The engine has a ZC code but the thing on the image looks like a solenoid.
Please tell me am I wrong ?

well it is a solenoid, but it is not a VTEC solenoid. hehe...is it an auto? Auto trannys usually have solenoids on them. Soryy, I've never payed attention to honda autoo trannys:-D

Yes it is with automatic transmissions.

 

dude, we told you already zc's don't have vtec. vtec solenoid is on the head and not on the tranny

 

there you go...it's some sort of solenoid on the tranny. DOHC ZC's are fo sho not VTEC...

there is an sohc zc vtec.......

 

but he's asking about the dohc zc not the sohc zc. look at his pic. as i said before in his other thread, you can make a sohc zc vtec. but a sohc zc vtec coming from the factory, i don't know about. maybe there is but i never seen one around here, or maybe it is very rare. the only ones i've seen are the ones that a couple of my buddies built. d16z6 head w/ a sohc zc block

 

its out there, but not in the US market. and pretty rare in the world market i believe.
