Default Power Locks broken...

I just got 92 Civic EX and the power locks aren't working. When hit the lock button, a overly loud noise comes from the power lock module inside the door and if you listen carefully you can hear all the other door lock motors trying to work but just not doing it. I took the driver door apart, replaced the Power lock module and that didn't do anything. I took the left power-lock actuator out, and if you connect the wires and hit the lock button, you can see the gears move about a hair then stop, so the unit is getting power but not enough i figure. So i checked some wiring diagrams, changed the fuse under the hood and still nothing!! Does anyone have any ideas to what it might be?

if the actuators have never been replaced, they might be going bad. another check is to see if you get the full 12V at the actuators. if they are getting full voltage but it's not working properly, my bet would be on the actuators going bad. if you have a friend whose actuators are working, you could ask to borrow them for a test.

I would bet that the actuator is bad also. Im not sure what they run in price but thats what i would try replacing.

I read somewhere the 92-95 actuators are notorious for being crap. I found one at the scrap yard for 45$ so im going to change that and see if it works, if not then i am out of ideas. I am definetly going to check and see if 12V is present but im not keeping my fingers crossed...

make sure behind the door panel there is nothing obstructing the locking mechanism, sometimes when a stereo is installed, (or anything else thats ran through the door) crossovers, wires, etc. may get in the way making it not work properly.

Theres no wires in the way or anything. I greased up all four door locks when the scrap yard guy mentioned it but that did not help at all. guess thats why he's in the scrap yard...
