Power windowns locks stopped working?
it couldnt be a wire crossed somewhere? my windows and locks seemed to stop working when i was driving home from work and a wire behind my radio started smoking. when i pulled out the radio one of the wires was uncovered, so i covered it back up with the tape. so im guessing it touched something somewhere, but how could that wire pop a fuse and then make it act like a wire is crossed somewhere...
Another possibility is that the shorted wire near the radio fried your under-hood fuse box. Consider removing the fuse box and inspecting it for damage.
I have a 2000 civic four doors and suddenly the doors locks stop working, when I use the remote control it only opens the two rear doors and the trunk, but the two front doors don't. I tried to buy an alarm thinking that may fix it but the guy told me I have to fixed the door problem first. The guy told me it may be only a blown fuse but I check every single fuse in the under the hood box and the inside box but everything is working. I took my car to the mechanic shop and they told me that the problem is a little motor in both doors that make them lock, so is this true or the guy in the mechanic shop is trying to make some money with me? anyway my car is getting fix but I just want to know that.
