Preloading the suspension??
Installing new rear suspension that i have on an earlier post about having stuck bolts .So i have managed to get both the seized up compensator bolts out and am ready to start re installing the rear suspension. I know you should pre load the suspension? I dont know what bolts to leave loose or exactly how to go about doing this. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
Anything you're directly bolting through a bushing should be installed hand tight, then when the car is lowered, fully torqued. You just dont want to lock the bushing in the unloaded position, and then put the car down because it will twist the heck out of it. I think really the only ones you have to watch for are the two on the lca....

The only bolts you need to make sure are loaded before torquing them are the ones that go through the bushings. The 2 top mount nuts and the pinch bolt for the front forks will be fine to tq before loading the suspension.
