[:@]hey i wanted to know what i need to do, here goes i happen to blow out my motor in my 1997 civic sedan belw a hole on my block and now i happen to have an d16z6 compelte engine sitting in my gararge . Now my question is how do i make this work when my civic is obd2 . these are the things i have which is a d16y8 engine harness, d16y8 ecu what things will i need to change or do to make this d16z6 work in my car pls help thanks

might be better off finding a d16y8. for the Z6 you'd need the p28 ecu and a conversion harness, then you'll have a lot of electrical work in the engine bay depending on which harness you start out with. I believe its also illegal to go from obd2 to obd1 in your state.

I was going to say I happen to need a Z6 and know a guy getting rid of his Y8 but California is a bit far for that deal

^Exactly, just swap another y8 in. It'll make life a lot easier, especially when it comes time to sell the car

BUT SEE IF I HAD THE MONEY TO GET ANOTHER ENGINE THEN I WOULD OF GOTTEN A Y8 BUT IN THIS CASE I DONT I JUST HAVE A Z6 AND P28 + Y8 ENGINE HARNESS, Dang Stimpy that would been a good deal if u were in cali!!!! i would had swap![>:]
