Radio buzzing/humming and not accepting CDS after jump start.
Hey yall! I own a 2004 Honda Civic! Christmas eve my father (poor guy he's so embarrassed) left my headlights on all night while at my aunts house, since he's used to driving cars where they automatically turn off. It drained my battery and thus needed to be jumped.
After they ran back and forth grabbing his car and some cables (he was too embarrassed to ask for them to jump it!) they took it back home and that was the end of that. Us being new to the civic life didn't understand that we had to put a code in to start up the radio again. My parents while driving to my other aunts house Christmas day were fiddling with it but failed to put the code in correctly.
I come along and after waiting the set amount of time finally get the radio back to it's "working" condition. (mind you it was working fine before all this). That's where the buzzing sound starts.
As soon as we get the dang radio working it is buzzing. it's not interfering with the sound like it's a bad connection from the signal or anything, the radio itself is buzzing. Even when the volume is on mute. We also are unable to put a CD in the CD player, there is no CD already in the player and we have tried shoving it in there with no avail. We turned the radio on and off again (oh how I wish that worked) but it was no use.
Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it? Please tell me it's a simple fix. I'm a migraine sufferer and I do NOT want to drive with this buzzing noise forever.
TLDR: My dad left my headlights on, drained battery, we turn car back on, radio is locked, we put the code in, radio makes buzzing noise after we bring it back to life and won't even accept our CDs.
