94 civic EX coupe. Just got it and I have noticed that there is a good rattle coming from the front end under acceleration and when I turn. Could it be something in the exhaust or suspension? Everything is tight under the hood.

What do you think??

 

Do you have a cold air intake? sometimes it rattles against the body when the throttle is open

 

Nope, all stock for now.

It's just strange. I don't know if it's some exhaust shroud or something? Goes away sometimes, then comes back. Gets worse when I go around a good corner and I'm on the gas.

 

If it's a clicking sound when you turn, could be a cv problem.

 

Doesn't sound like a clicking. Louder and not consistant like a tick would be. That's why I described it as a rattle. Has a deaper tone to it also.

 

Can you tell what general area it's coming from? Head? Tranny? Exhaust?

 

Well, when I'm driving, I can hear it clearly on the drivers side. So, that was making me lean towards something in the susupenstion area. Just because it gets worse when going throug a corner.

 

CV problem for sure. Look to see it the rubber is craked and if there is a load of grease around it.
