speaker rattle

I just installed some pioneer speakers in my door and when i turn on the music the speakers rattle? can anyone help me out?

i'm gonna ask the obvious question, did you make sure you put all the screws back in? also did you tighten them all the way?

Sorry had to do it.

Anyways when i installed mine they stuck out to far and I had to shave the back side of the door grill so it would hit the grill, it gives a soundthat sounds like they shake.

yea the screws are tight and the speakers doesnt move around at all. I think it might just be a bad speaker

Possible you may have blown the speaker or it might be underpower.

when you pop the speaker grill cover off does it still rattle?

yea it still rattles. Could wiring make it rattle or is it probably just a bad speaker?

Small chance but the wiring could be touching the back of the cone and when it moves in and out it is hitting the wire. I have heard this and it can happen but is usally pretty loud.


If there is nothing hitting the front or the back of the speaker then I would have to say you need a new speaker.
