Default remote starter problems

I am putting a Galaxy 5000rs system into a manual 98 honda civic. Here is the link to the operations manual http://www.offroadtoyz.com/Ala...3.pdf . I ran into some problems:
-the siren goes off when I ground the black wire from it.
-the lock and unlock buttons do the opposite of each other. I tried switching the wires and it did not fix the buttons.
-my horn is not chirping/honking
-when I try to start my car it will start the sequence then the parking lights will blink 7 times and unlock the doors.
I would also like to know how to do the clutch override. And last but not least, when they talk about these relays that I am supposed to use, are the relays in the car or do I have to buy them seperate.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

You really should not use a remote starter on a manual car. If someone parked the car and left it in gear, it will take off and crash into something when it starts. It is complicated to detect whether the transmission is in gear or not. The system that you have does not appear to have any input for such a detector either.

So use only the alarm functions on that unit. The red wire from the siren should be connected to the brown wire from the 20 pin harness (not the 6 pin harness) on the box. The black wire is grounded.

Relays will be required for some things (e.g. the horn) and you have to buy them seperately.

Ok, first off, when the unit first revices power, it's going to go off. SO when you connect that ground wire just have your remote handy and shut it off.

IIRC, the door locks on the civic are negative trigger, double check your wiring on that one.

For the horn issuse - You are using the siren right? Is that working? You want both the siren and the horn to chrip? That needs to be programmed, look at #24 on the program chart. (FYI, the siren and the horn together sounds retarded)

The remote start is a bit complex....

Did you find the tach wire? To bypass the clutch, you just need to ground the clutch switch wires located just above the clutch pedal. And you also need to double check your wiring on this one as well, this goes back to your error on the door locks. When the car goes into the remote start sequence, the doors should LOCK, not unlock.

I attached the tach wire to the blue wire directly behind the tach. How do I install the clutch relay or is it unnecessary?

The remote starter is made for manual transmissions. I believe the tach wire is the input to shut the system down. Another thing that you have to do to make the remote starter work is when you exit the car after driving it. You pull to parking spot, pull e-brake, press remote starter button, turn off ign., get out of the car (it should still be running), shut the door(car will shut off), and it should be ready to go.

Ok, first of all, the unit is NOT made for a manual car, there is not such a thing as a remote starter for a manual car, no install shop will do that.

And the feature you described, leaving the car running when you exit the car, that's not a saftey feature for the remote start. That feature is for if you are making a quick stop somewhere and you want to leave the car running, it is totally independant of the remote start feature.

You wont need any relays to make it work. Look directly above your clutch pedal, you will see 2 switches, the one towards the top is the clutch interlock switch, you need to connect those 2 wires together that lead to that switch in order to make the car think that the clutch pedal is in.

Keep in mind before you do this that the car WILL start in gear. When you ground these wires together, the car always things the clutch pedal is in. So whether or not you remote start, or you have the key in the ignition, the car will start in whatever gear it was left in.
