^ i owuld agree with the two of you, BUT if the smoke is black that does not mean that the rings are bad, if he was burning oil from bad rings it would be Blue smoke not Black. so i don't think that would be the issue

true tim but today theirs a little blue smoke mixed in i'm going to do a compression test later today thanks for everyone's replys
