shuts off while driving

shuts off while driving
my 1993 hacth with ls engine decides to shut off while im driving it first starts to lag a little bit then the gauges stop working then the idle is like barely even running then it shuts off. i had the alternator checked it passed the battery is fine im at a lost as to what it could be any info will help thanks
