I just bought a 93 civic. When I turn on my left or right signal light my 4 way lights start blinking and so does my dashboard light. Also my dashboard light does not turn on. I changed the fuse and the dashboard light turns on but the signal lightstays on without blinking. Then after a few minutes of being on they will turn off and not turn back on. Then I'm back to the beginning again. What can this problem be . Please help me out someone.

 

Sound like you may have a defective flasher unit (could also be a poor ground, open circuit or short circuit amoung other things).

Also check all the bulbs to be sure none are blown.

you have the wrong type bulb in one of the sockets. if you have recently replaced any bulbs then you need to recheck them . in the fron you should either have a 1157 or a 3496 in the rear you should have 1156 bulbs. check those. checjk them all i anm certain that that is the problem.

 

the flasher relay is most likely bad if it just stays on and doesn't blink. it happended to my car and that was the problem
