*Talking about the outside door handle*

I can still open the door from the outside, but the litte clip or whatever that pulls the handle back towards the car when you release it is broken.

When I open the door, the handle drops back down after letting go, but it doesn't seat all the way unless I push on it.

So after looking at the pictures on the parts site, I think I need part #13(ring for the outer handle)

I haven't taken the door panel apart, don't feel like doing all that if I don't need to just yet. The sound that something snapped came from the outer door handle.

Anyone want to confirm that's the little piece I need?

 

I think #13 holds the lock CYLINDER in. It sounds like u had a spring break that pulls the handle back flush. That u can not replace. You will have to buy a new door handle.

 

I agree with Silver2000civic, The door handle is cheap and easy to replace as well.
When I bought my 96lx, It only had one operational outer door handle and unfortunately, it did the same thing LOL.
