Hood release handle broke

Hood release handle broke
98 Civic LX 5spd. The handle for the hood release broke off so I was going to replace it. Has anyone done this and if so do I need to remove the bumper and fender ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There's some videos on YouTube that shows this.
If the cable did not break, but the handle did, it wont be all that difficult. If the cable broke, then you just have to remove the plastic protector in the fender and restring it.
If you look under your car, just behind the bumper, you can see the cable and be able to pull on it to release your hood latch.
