Speedometer Problem and Emblem Question

Speedometer Problem and Emblem Question
Hey everyone. I just bought a Civic, mostly because it was cheap. It's a '95 DX. It runs good, the only problem is the speedometer. When I first got it, it would drop to 0 when I reached about 35-40mph, and go right back up in about 2 seconds. I was just driving it, and it dropped to 0, but didn't go back up. It was still at 0 by the time I got home. Does anybody have any suggestions on what I should do to fix this? I'm not too great with cars, but I can do simple things.
Another question I have is just something simple. I want to take the Civic DX logo off the back. I've done this to all my other cars, I just used a blow dryer until the glue was melted enough, then used dental floss to get it off. Then I'd just get the leftover crap off with some kind of adhesive remover. Can I do the same thing with the Civic Emblem?
Any help is appreciated.

RE: Speedometer Problem and Emblem Question
Yeah, I checked for one before, the problem is I don't even know what it looks like. Could someone maybe explain where to find this, tell me what it looks like, or post a picture or something?
If I were to find it, how would I fix the problem?
