I have a 98 Civic LX sedan auto all stock that suddenly began makin a squeeling and a metalic clanking noise in the area of thepass front wheel when backing. If I pull the steering wheel hard to the right I also get the squeeling noise. Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

it could be a number of issues. the most common is your brakes. slightly loosen the lug nuts. jack it up. Then take off the lug nuts and check the brakes. there is a mechanism that makes a squeeking sound when your brake pads are near the end of its useful life. it could be this.
