Default Starting problem

Ok so to start I have to say I know next to nothing about mechanical problems, so please bear with me. I have a 2002 LX coupe that has trouble starting only shortly after being turned off. If I wait an hour or so it starts just fine. For example, when I went to get gas the other day, it wouldn't start after fueling up, but after waiting for about 30 minutes (maybe a little more), it finally (and barely) started. I have a new battery in this car so I imagine that is not the problem. And my check engine light is on, which I imagine is relating to this problem. Anyone have an idea? Thanks in advance for any help.
Edit: Also, I had someone take a quick look at it and the fuel injector (I think) wasn't spraying anything out when turned into the on position. So I got some fuel system cleaner, put it in a full tank of gas, and am now empty. Don't know if that helped at all. He also said it's possible it needs a new fuel filter. I bought it used at 114,000 miles, am now at 145,000 miles, and have never done a single bit of repair/maintenance (aside from oil changes).

Whenever the CEL is on you should check the code, since it's usually an important clue to the problem.
